In case you’ve forgotten, exactly 20 years ago, the world was in a frenzy that Y2K was going to destroy all computers and the world would go to chaos. It appears the predictions were about twenty years off.

Now it’s year 2020 and a global pandemic has forced us to do something that many businesses, like Id Bookkeeper, have been doing for a decade: working remote.

For many, it has been a sudden shift to our living rooms becoming our work space and our partners and children are swarming in and out as we try to stay focused on our work.

As a successful cloud based, 100% remote business, we can’t agree more with with a recent article written by our friends at Architectural Digest:

“Design is hands-on, tactile, collaborative work, and that can be hard to replicate virtually. But with so many people suddenly working from home, leaders need to know how to effectively manage their teams remotely. In spite of the hurdles, there’s a silver lining for design firms: ‘We’re actually the best group to get through this,” says Todd Heiser, a principal and co–managing director in Gensler’s Chicago office. “We’re innovation experts.”
