A lot has happened in the past hundred years. From the Bauhaus to the White House, we’ve seen two World Wars, the Great Depression, and the first African American president. Design doesn’t exist in a vacuum, of course; interiors are always shaped by the cultural and social contexts of their time. At its best, great design can influence the world around it, too.
